EOS M is an entry level system. I won't expect it to get good video feature especially when video feature is a money grab spec now.

Unless you are pro, just get the M + Magic Lantern + stabilizer. This package should be more than enough for amateur and very very cheap.

At best, Magic Lantern is a kludge. Fancy new firmware won't change the fact that you are working with a sensor that is a decade old and has very slow readout speeds. Pretty much any reasonably modern 4k capable camera, even a smartphone, will produce better results with far less effort.

If someone already has an original M and want to play around with Magic Lantern, great. To suggest that someone should seek out an original M solely for the purpose of going down the Magic Lantern rabbit hole is just a really bad idea.

I agree, it is not workable for casual user. I tried ML for while on a PowerShot in order to use DNG files which was Ok. Then I acidentally formatted the card and all my settings were lost. Never bothered to start all over again.
