Nope, that’s how you lose your trademarks. Patents aren’t subject to the same standard, partly because they expire, to begin with. There are multiple examples of corporations defending their patents only from large infringers, leaving smaller ones alone, and that hasn’t been considered grounds to revoke ownership.

Let the third parties do what they can by reverse engineering. And also make it clear to your customer base that you will not be liable for any issues with third party lenses.

That is exactly what the situation is and has always been.
