I'm a Fuji apsc user considering of adding a full frame mirrorless to my collection. My budget has come down to 2 options, Sony a7iii or the Canon Eos R.

i looked at the R but decided that apart from MP the R6 was a big step up in every department like IBIS the frame rates and most importantly the AF ho also vidio biy i dont do video yet and 20 MP was enough for me as i did not think i was lacking in MP with my 12MP 5D so the R6 looked better value to me as i think if i went for the R i would be looking to upgrade in a year or 2 . now i have gotten used to the AF on the R6 i don't think i could go back to a less capable AF for general purpose photograph ..if i was going for a less capable body i would look at the RP and not the R as its AF and frame rates etc are not that far behind the R but i see them for 750GBP on the bay in the UK

My priority is the nice skin tones, that's why I don't mind Canon lower DR sensor compared to Sony cameras. But I really like the Sigma 85 f1.4 DG DN lens available for the E mount.
And I will try to avoid adapting dslr lens on the R, which just adds bulk and weight. As for Sony, it's yellowish skintones was a nightmare to me before. I'll try my best not to return to Sony.

i did try sony APS-c for a travel cam and it ended up being my last sony because of the green/yellow thing i replaced it with a SL1/100D

I tried a Sony travel camera too, but not very long.   I was able to accept the slight off color issues but I was able to ignore the very, very bad menu and touch screen interface.   That was an absolute deal killer for me and Sony experience ended in less than a year.   I ended up replacing the Sony with a G5XII that is a great little compact travel camera with Canon menus and Canon colors.   It does have a 1" Sony stacked CMOS sensor so this proof good color can come from Sony sensors.  The menu and interface on the G5XII is great with no small cramped together buttons like my Sony had.
