X-T5 and 56mm mk2 focus problem

Seems like the new 56mm doesn’t work so well with the X-T5. I’ve been using the lens with the X-T3 since it launched and it’s great. With the X-T5 there’s often an almost half second freeze in the EVF when you lock focus, whether it’s via the shutter button or the back button.

Seems to be worst actually if the shot is already pretty much in focus. If it’s totally out of focus it seems to focus up normally. But strangely if it’s already mostly there I almost always experience a delay of a tiny fraction of a second at best, almost half a second at worst. Happens on both my X-T5 bodies, doesn’t happen with any other lenses on the 5, and didn’t happen with this lens on the X-T3.

Looking forward to the first firmware update for this camera, there’s at least a couple of annoying bugs to get fixed!
