Having done portraits & headshots professionally for many years using the usual lens suspects (70-200 2.8, 85 1.4, 135 F2 Canon & Nikon) and having recently got a 24-200 Z, I thought I'd test it out when my niece and nephew were in for a visit last week. It works for me. What do you guys think? (All taken w/ natural light approx. 45 mins before sunset.)

Nice shots!

I don't understand the previous reply to your post; personally, I'm quite happy to use the Z 24-200mm for portraits - it only falls short on the occasions when I want a particularly shallow depth of field. Otherwise, I find central sharpness and bokeh quality to be perfectly acceptable.

Here's one recent example (eye detect AF didn't work for this subject...!)

Nice shot. Is that a Hawker Hunter in the background?

Or is it an Avro Vulcan?

100% a Vulcan.
