Lately, multiple manufacturers have chosen not to release their most recent crop sensor AF lenses in EF-M mount.
- Rokinon/Samyang 12mm f/2.0 - XF
- Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 - E, XF, L
- TTArtisan 27mm f/2.8 - XF
- Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 - E, XF
- Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 - E, XF
- Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 - E, XF (compatible with full frame)
- Tokina 23mm f/1.4 - E, XF
- Tokina 33mm f/1.4 - E, XF
- Tokina 56mm f/1.4 - E, XF
- Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 - E, XF, Z
- Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 - E, XF, Z (compatible with full frame)
Besides Sigma, both Tamron and Viltrox have previously released AF lenses for the M system and would already have the engineering work of defining AF protocols finished.
In terms of AF native lenses, EF-M only has 7 lenses from Sigma and Viltrox, all primes and 1 discontinued Zoom from Tamron.

What will be the fate of the RF-S mount ?
There isn't as much urgent to produce lenses for it.
That R7 is a dream camera, the feature set is very extensive, and has great ergonomics but the lack of lenses gives me pause.
I'm profoundly uninterested in RF-S lenses since I already have an EOS R and several varieties of EOS M. I would like an R7 for my tele lenses (it could even tempt me to buy an RF 70-200mm) and my TS-E lens, but not enough to spend more than £1000 on one while my EOS Ms live, as it'salmost the same size as my EOS R.
Their only two native lenses suck, I think the RF-S 18-45 is worse than the EF-M 15-45 !
The 18-150mm is supposed to be slightly better than the EF-M version. The15-45mm can be very good, but they were very hard to make consistently at the beginning. The 18-45mm is much simpler, so should be more consistent. I've not used my 15-45mm as I don't really like the range 35-50mm on APS-C.

If anything the RF lens looks better, but it's even less ambitious. I've no experience of it apart from a brief fiddle in a shop - have you any experience to back up your belief?
If at least they had the 11-22 and 22 I'd jump.
There's a rumour about the possibility of the 22mm. I measured my 11-22mm and the rear element is too close to the shutter of the EOS R for my comfort - I wasn't going to poke the shutter with a calliper to find out for sure.
