Ugh, when are people going to realize that in all reality a powershot from 2010 is in all likelihood going to produce better looking files than any smartphone and this is basically down to physics.
of course given that it has a raw capture.
i have a lower mid-priced phone a pixel 3xl from 2018 and it shoots raw and in some instances gives a better IQ than my R6...1 instance was i was at work and needed to take a photo of a serial number plate on a broken gearbox on a bit of machinery in a really dark place.. the phones flash did not fire, thinking the flash was off i was expecting a black photo..the flash was on auto but the phone decided there was enough light and did not need it..the photo to my amazement was perfectly exposed and sharp..i know my R6 would have needed a VERY high ISO and a long shutter speed and a macro lens so i googled how it did it apparently as soon as you turn the camera on its starts taking a series of photos very fast so when you hit the shutter button it stacks many photos from before and after i hit the button
but like you say its down to physics the best power shot of 2010 is the G11, its sensor has an area of 43squer mm the pixel 6 phone has a modern sensor probably BSI etc of 70squer mm so 1/2 as big again then couple that to the computing power of a phone and old power shot won't stand a chance
my pixel 3 needs replacing and i am going to get a pixel4 xl for the camera.. They are only 150GBP second hand or a refurb they have 2 cameras the standard 28mm equv the same as i have now but also a 50mm camera with 2X optical zoom ...i can not think of any second-hand compact Camaro that will give better results for 150GBP
actually I believe 2nd renaissance of the small digital camera is just around the corner.

My 5D IS a MK1 classic

There is no argument for FF vs APS-c (or m43) with shallow DOF..as it's a law of physics and a very subjective personal thing if you want to make use of the shallow DOF only FF can offer
