What old good Fuji do you recommend to test the brand and its simulations in street photography?

XE2S: Lovely little camera. Slower focusing and operation than newer, but fast enough with Fujicron lenses. Very nice with the slower focusing 27mm f2.8. Maybe a bit like a budget X100T that is better to handle, imho.

  • It is like a mini X Pro body, with rear moulded grip. Very comfortable to hold and grab fast.
  • The EVF has a far longer eye relief than any left EVF body made since. Not an issue for most people, but essential for some.
  • Price is far higher than the "equivalent " XT10. If you like central EVFs consider the XT10 or XT20.
  • Far faster in every way than the XE1.
  • 16MP sensor is dated now. But still great compared to the compacts you have been considering.
  • Matches well with the cheap 16-50 or should be great with the new Sigma 18-50mm f2.8. Plus the 27mm f2.8 when you want sleek and slim.

I returned to the XE2 over the X Pro 2, XT3, XE3. The XE2S is just a tiny upgrade. Either would be ideal for street.

The 23mm f2 is a great companion for a little focus speed bump over the 27mm, but the 27mm has the weight and size charm (at a much lower price for the original 27).
