Just got my refurbished M6ii and have been toying around with it a bit. Definitely much more capable than my M5, and I'm just scratching the surface. I'm amazed by how much cleaner higher ISO shots look than on my M5. If they had just made a certain of it in an EVF body! Ok, now I'm getting off track with M5ii crazy talk. 😉

Saw this comparison video by Christopher Frost, who's reviews are great and pretty down to earth. It shows the R7 basically outperforming the RP in every way except shallow DOF. The video looks at just the type of decision Canon has pushed many of us to make - enthusiast APS-C or entry level FF.

Lucky for many of us, we snagged the same sensor and 90% of the performance for 1/3 the price with the M6ii deal! 😎

Congratulations on the new M6ii! I received mine, as an upgrade to my M5, last week. I checked it out for a day or two, LOVED IT! (like you said, much more capable than my M5), and then discovered that it came with the internal battery issue where the date/time reset whenever the battery was removed. You haven't noticed that issue, have you? I wonder how prevalent it is. Seems like several people in this forum have experienced this issue.  And, who knows, even if it's not there today, it may develop over time as the internal battery ages?   I'm in the process of exchanging mine, but I miss it already, and I hope the new one comes with no problems!  (I'm even second guessing myself as to whether I should have just accepted this shortcoming, as everything else seemed to be working great.  So now I'm nervous I'll be swapping one issue for some other, more serious one.  But, I hope that's just me being irrational because I want my new toy ... now!  )
