The THK long lens I’d suggest for an M camera is the 100 gram Kenko 1.4x HD Teleconverter for EF and EF-S combined with the 380 gram EF-S 55-250 This combo has AF and IS.

I forgot that I have this combo as well. I can say that combo does work well (image sharpness is good).

Would the 35mm equivalent focal length with a EF-S 55-250mm plus 1.4x TC plus Canon M series camera be 560mm (250mm x 1.6 x 1.4)? If yes, then that is a lot of focal length for some good bird photography.

Still, the Tokina 600mm (960mm 35 equiv) and 900mm (1400mm 35mm equiv) mirror lenses is a lot of focal length for a Canon M series camera. If these lenses are capable of producing decent image quality (seems like it to me based on the sample images), then the question is whether the lenses are worth the cost and effort for the photographer.
