could use some better high iso processing - dxo

Tones, white balance, and ISO handling are top notch. I feel the R3 handles large lenses like the RF 28-70 f/2L well, and makes the most of mine.

Finding a new post processor, did cross my mind.

zooming in on the second one, the noise is too much to accept for this setup without proper processing

deep prime is the answer

Actually the noise levels are very acceptable given the ISO and amount of gain applied in LR at that.

Now to your point… LR; it has poor noise reduction, absolutely. You’ll get no fight from me on that. I didn’t apply any (defaults). Had I? Clean. I prefer DPP4 NR though, by a country mile too. I’m not sold on prime. Artifacts from it, are undesirable. DPP4 or even OOC using in camera RAW or SOOC, stomp on LR noise reduction. Noise reduction on Canon RAW is Adobes kryptonite. Processing NR, WB, picture profile to TIFF first in DPP4, and then passing to LR, is ideal, but more work.
