Best thing that can be asked for is a goodwill final firmware to remove the Crpple Hammer from the M6-II and give it the EFCS which every other M and the M6-II based 90D DSLR already have .. also drop the silly price of the EVFs to a sensible level .

as a user of zooms with IS I`d have an M6-II tomorrow if they did that update - its got the resolution to leave the 11-22 on all the time and not have to go trying to find a Unicorn-Horn copy of the 18-55 or 15-45..

M6ii works really well with 11-22.

in ES mode I`m sure it does - even M6-II enthusiast Alastair Norcross found shock with the mech shutter and the 11-22 if I remember rightly and I do shoot in situations where energy and LED lighting is present let alone where rolling shutter would be an issue both of which where the tiny size and high-rez of the M6-II + 11-22 would benefit, a really good copy of the 18-55 (I had one and stupidly sold it in 2015) or 18-150 would even more benefit .......

Horses for courses I guess. non stabilized prime users don`t get the problem .. Some Panasonics without EFCS had a menu option to use the E-Shutter only between 80th and 160th sec automatically which was better than nothing - whatever, canon can do EFCS, I`m quite frankly amazed that they haven`t bothered given the cameras flagship status .

All that led me to do my own SS tests.

I did give up trying. Was thinking about maybe doing SS tests with my new M6II.

Sold all my cheap zooms though.

I did some testing myself some time ago. Was not able to see any SS in any of the shots. Both on tripod and handheld. So I gave it up, too.

I have also seen posts claiming that the M50(I or II) has SS (this has EFCS only !!.)

I think in all the discussions about this, the consensus is that the problem is very very minimal (if it even exists) or (more likely?) that there are just a few bad copies of the camera or lens. Or maybe someone confuses SS with handshake.

I look back at years of car show photos and the ones I did with zooms are nice but some of the ones that I took the time to use a good prime with a CPL filter on a tripod are outstanding !

The camera body, lens, hand size, and who knows what else must be just right to get a good SS photo ?

Never figured it out.

Am thinking what Mac is saying about low priced IS lenses on high mp crop sensors is right though.

Not ideal.
