By my estimation, Canon made eight entry level cameras and three enthusiast cameras in the EOS M (mobility) series. It filled a need for photographers and vloggers. Can we ask for the M7 prosumer model to be the finishing touch if the plan is to discontinue the M series? The M7 with borrowed features from the R7 and available for the lower price of the M6 Mark ii. That would spark new life in the M series or be the crown on the M series.

I wonder how hard would it be to change the mount of this camera to the one in the R7 and R10 but basically leave everything else mostly the same but update the processor also. Canon has to move forward with just one Mount, Just as Sony and Nikon are doing.

Nah. There is very little interest for M users to move to RF-S. See the latest poll.

They can't have a separate lens type cameras within the FF and cropped sector which won't fit outside of that without an adapter moving forward.

Why not? The M system has a much more sensible size on the mount (for an APS-C sensor).
