Hi Fujix100vuseruk,

An interesting challenge which has forced us (well) outside of our comfort zone - 10 exhibits from us (hopefully meeting your criteria)…

Hi WiltshireMoonraker59,

Cheers - much appreciated!

Our Canon gear is a real joy to use (mind you, we say the same about our Sony gear :-) ).

Very nice indeed and it’s great to see another photographer partake in high contrast black and white .

I have a real passion for black and white . I even add heavy grain every now and again

That location just screams for endless versions and constant revisits in different light .

Hi Fujix100vuseruk,

Cheers - much appreciated!

We do like to dabble with B&W and ‘Chiaroscuro’, pushing things around a bit in post - including an occasional dip into DxO FilmPack. (Time, as always, being a big limiter *).

(* Along with talent… :-D ).

An inspirational collection of striking images is being gathered here - great challenge!

Hope that two meet the category.

They are very nice takes but as Bill says they are not exactly high contrast.

it’s not the best scene for high contrast but to give you an idea here’s what it would look like using high contrast

Well, the "Moqui Marble" got lost in the shuffle and there is certainly over and under developed shadows and highlights. Thank you for sharing.

Did you convert the color photo, or one of the "black and white" copies? Reason I ask is that the first b/w is actually a "false color" image, mimicking B/W in the "Hues" section of my post processor. So, I'm wondering how you got it to spread out that much.

My first sample will accept any of the "color droppers." The B/W version is limited to greyscale.
