Sounds amazing

just 1 thing

The 11-22 is 61mm * 58 mm 220 gram

Laowa 9mm is 53mm * 60mm 215 gram

22 F2 is 61mm * 23mm 105 gram

the 11-22 and Laowa are both double the 22 F2, and pretty similar to each other. Isn’t it?

Weights of the Canon 11-22 and Laowa are basically the same (both are light), but with the lens caps and hoods on (I always use the hoods) the difference is more dramatic.

The Canon EF-M 11-22 hood grows the diameter by another 25% and the Laowa's doesn't increase the maximum diameter at all --- it's still smaller in diameter than the rear lens cap. The Laowa's lens cap isn't as thick as the Canon's, there is another couple of mm difference from that.

As you can see the Laowa tapers off from the rear. It can fit in small side or front pockets of my various camera bags where the Canon lens needs a 'regular lens' sized slot.

Canon EF-M 11-22mm IS STM size vs. Laowa 9mm f2.8
