TTArtisan 27mm f2.8 User Review

The lens arrived today in Wisconsin, one week after TTArtisan shipped from China through Fedex. It's lovely black aircraft aluminum in construction, with fine quality in every detail. It seems at once both sturdy, and extremely light weight. On the X-T4 it hardly seems to be there. The focusing is very smooth with just the right amount of dampening. The aperture ring has slightly stiffer action than those on my TTArtisan manual focus lenses, with clicks in third stops throughout the entire range. I like how the front element is deeply recessed, and also appreciate the included (39mm) lens hood. AF is almost completely silent, and seems as fast as that on my XF16-80. In the first hundred or so frames of shooting today, I never experienced AF hunting or hesitancy. Every shot was focused spot on. SOOC jpeg colors are the most vivid of my four TTArtisan lenses. I noticed no color shifts. My samples below were all shot with Auto WB. I've done no sharpening, vignetting or distortion corrections, so the lens' performance can be seen for what it is.
I can see this lens being on my X-T4 most of the time. The focal length could be just right for most of my preferred subjects, right in the middle between the 17 and 35. I prefer it over a 23.
With no further ado, here are some of my initial SOOC jpeg samples from around our house and yard. I'm interested in your comments. To me, it seems rather amazing for the price.
