Titanium oxidizes pretty fast, so I don’t particularly see a need for an anti scratch coating. Sure, if you have a nice paint finish, but I quite like the character my camera takes on over time. It’s a unique signature IMHO.

Then don't buy one with a durasmuge coating.  Pretty simple.  Personally I appreciated the deep character the durasmuge coating gives my Pro3 jewelry handing around my neck.

Not for you - no problem.  However, I wonder why one would want to deny options - which cost a 200 dollar upgrade - to those that want it?
