I'm simply in awe of this combo - shot candids all day with it, and > 99% keepers in over 1000 shots = incredible event portrait combo!

Good stuff! I remember shooting the 100L on my M50. A whole lot of reach, stabilization, bright aperture, and not a lot of weight. Great.

for relative stills and pedestrian motion, I'd rather shoot with my 32.5 mpxl M6II and 100 L (160 fov with that great cropping power) with its 7 fps and accurate spot focus any place in the frame using touch and drag (for compo) than my older 20 mpxl 6d with my 70 -200 F2.8 L and no IS and only good center point focus

I'm using the 70-200mm sports on the M6II sometimes.

now that is the setup for sure to use for more action than pedestrian motion

It's amazing how much detail you can get when you feed that little M6II with sharp and well stabilized glass.

yes, these lenses are not cheap IS lenses and are not subject to shutter shock at these sports speeds.  I shot my 100L at ss 1/160+ and it was razor sharp all day long

And I love have the M6II + little 32mm on the strap being able to switch to a big lens in the bag when needed.

these lenses are amazing on that 32.5 mpxl

Canon did indeed give us too much

Now you need to pay $1500 to get the 32.5 mpxl on mirrorless which tells you Canon doesn't really want that 32.5 mpxl sensor on mirrorless hanging around for less than $1500 -- greedy and so sad
