It could make sense as it would enable uncompromised silent shooting, which would be fitting for the X-Pro line.

Actually, that’s a brilliant idea. Fuji talked about the way global shutter would allow them more flexibility with the gfx cameras, given the size of their shutter assembly. 
With current technology it wouldn’t be an all round choice. However, the X-Pro line doesn’t need to cover all bases.
