Cycling Hill Climb Championship (UK)
1

On Sunday I was up early to drive to Langollen in North Wales to watch and video the cycling National Hill Climb Championship. 400 competitors went off at 30 second intervals to climb the Old Shoe road (minor road alternative to the Horseshoe Pass) from bottom to top, that's 1.55km at 12.5% gradient. It's a seriously competitive event at the sharp end with the winner riding at 8 watts/kilo for over 5 minutes (that's kind of extreme).

I used my X-S10 with the 16-80 and 70-300mm lenses, also at times a Sony ZV-1 and a GoPro 8. Video is 10 minutes, starts quiet, gets noisy. It gives a good appreciation of the X-S10's video af capabilities in a very dynamic environment.
