Yeah, the dial can be used to change ISO, but the issue is that the cameras without a dedicated dial include ISO in the custom settings, so whenever you change to a new film recipe your ISO gets steamrollered. Not such a big deal if you use auto exposure modes, but more and more these days I go fully manual, and then it’s a real annoyance.
