Question about a versatile lens for EOS R

Hello all,

I have an EOS R paired up with EF 24-105 f/4L v1, EF 50 STM and an EFS 55-250 (version before the final EFS 55-250)

I use 55-250 to take telephoto shots of landscape and for some general walkaround shots. I know it reduces the picture size to effective 10MP but I don't have any other tele lens for now and I find myself using more of the tele end most times.

When I am not using 50, I have 24-105 on the camera which works really well except for tele range.

I am in the process of a trip to Portugal with a group and thinking of getting a lens which can be used for people and landscapes/cityscapes. Should I stick with 24-105 or buy/rent a 24-240 or 100-400 or a 70-200?

I would like to not change lenses when on the move as this trip is not exclusively for pictures.

Thanks for reading.
