If you are not using the full width of the censer for the macro picture and cropping the image, then the vignetting is not a problem.

I use a Sony 7RIII and often find even at the most magnification I can get, the subject is still so small that I have to crop a lot.

This fly is small and I cropped a lot.

From the antenna to the tip of the wings is three mm.

This was using an FE 90mm macro lens from Sony with a five diopter lens on the front.  That gives me a possible 1.8 to 1 magnification.   Even so, the amount of cropping is extreme on a full frame censer.

If you are photographing something like a painting and need extra high resolution, you can probably do better with a very high quality longer lens.
