Nice job! I would probably pick 1/2000 for these kinds of shots, but you are getting some pretty good freezing of the action at 1/1000. I find the high ISO performance of the R7 to be plenty good enough to shoot at ISO 1600 or above. Were these shot in RAW or JPEG? And what shutter mode and burst rate were you using? I find that 15fps is usually too fast for my liking, so my action shooting so far has been mostly at 8fps in EFCS. I would like to be able to use e-shutter at 8fps, but we're restricted to 15 or 3 (or the ridiculous 30!) for now at least (maybe a firmware update could enable 8fps?).
