Practical but cannot replace a very sharp 35mm F/1.4 or 85mm F/1.2 or 105mm F/1.4

Or 35 F1.8 or 50 F1.8 or 85 F2 or 100 F2.8 for that matter.

Not producing magical images

but yes it’s practical

Definitely. The images may not be magical in themselves, but they are sharp. I find most image magic comes from subject matter and lighting. This lens is definitely capable of producing magical images, but the magic doesn’t come from the lens.

+1 !!!

The magic comes from a combination of subject matter, lighting, and the Processor behind the camera.

The camera and lens are far less important.  Only other photo nerds ask me what I took a particular image with, or how I processed it etc.
