I've been thinking about picking up one of those manual focus .95 primes littering eBay but am concerned about easy of use. Obviously I'll be shooting wide open occasionally because why wouldn't you, and focusing screens ain't got those cool things where if you align them they're in focus, like old cameras. I also notice that peaking only works if there's a lot of contrast in the image, and wide open these things are vintage lensy with lack of contrast and junk like that. Is this a situation where you use the magnifier and then recompose, or do you trust the peaking? Or do you just eyeball it on the viewfinder?

Or are these for video people? Should I just suck it up and keep buying the Olympus pro lenses?

I have been trying my TTArtisan 50mm f1.2 for some shots, pretty slow but the focus peaking helps. Also because easier to focus than my Planar on the Nikon Df.
