"Base" Lr raw conversion can be very soft with X-Trans, as you've noticed. A middle ground for DPR would be to use Capture One for their Fuji results, they are very quick with their updates now for new cameras, built-in lens profiles are applied as well and it will remove 99%+ of the softness many people complain about and notice! It's slightly unfair to keep portraying Fuji in this way imo.

The dxo conversion is a new option and high iso conversions are very "clean" but even if used as plug-in, eg the deep prime or the PL5/6 full suite it takes longer for Dxo to introduce new camera-lens support. Also, it might be a pain for DPR to use and manage and high-light shadow recovery is not as flexible as Lr or C1, so C1 would be a great compromise for DPR to standardise on.

The C1 X-H2/H2S conversions are very very good, only the very high iso images require some level of additional nr.
