X-H2 - Question about low-light autofocus compared to X-T2
1

I upgraded from the X-T2 to the X-H2 and was doing some side-by-side comparisons, and landed on one scenario that gave me pause.

Using the XF18-55mm at 55mm and F4, I tried to focus on a slightly darker area of the room. The X-T2 took a while but eventually locked focus most of the time. The X-H2 however failed every time.

I've taken a video of the comparison: https://youtu.be/CM0OMjCTWEY

Has anyone experienced something similar on the newest X-H bodies? Is it bad technique? Bad lens? Bad body? I will note that if I use the 56mm 1.2, it has no problems. I presume the aperture is helping. Puzzling that the X-T2 has no issues.
