Welcomed back an old friend
15

I recently found a pre-loved Sigma 17-50 f2.8 on Facebook marketplace in Sydney.

At $100 AUD plus postage I wasn't about to wait around or haggle the price. The deal was professional and the item arrived in perfect condition.

My previous version loved my K5iis but hated my K3.

In trepidation I took some test shots and needless to say, the rest is history.

I took the rig on holiday north of Melbourne to see he last of the seasons snow and show my Son-in-law and Grandchildren from Western Australia, although the camera didn't come out on the mountain (Samsung s21 did duties) we stayed at the foot of the mountain and did some trips around my home.

The Sigma is a fantastic lens and often for sale at ridiculous prices for what it is. No weather sealing and heavy but well built and very very good image quality. I'm sure it would compliment the k3mkiii nicely also(?)

Live view mode at close range went straight for the eyes... K3 mki     (Australian kookaburra)

Handheld half way up to the snow. Mount Buller, Victoria.
