OK, then check the modus button that governs what the EVR does with signals from the eyesensor. I think it is on one of the sides of the "pentaprism" housing. You may have switched that inadvertetly. While switching it tells what mode is on.

But that was covered earlier in this thread.

P.S. looked on mine (Z7 (I)). mode button is on the left of the EVR housing, dioptr on the right. It has a sequence of four flavours, one "automatic switch". I think you can limit the flavours in the menu, but I believe in "default unless".

Otherwise to the shop for explanation or exchange.
