RF 50mm 1.2 and RF 100mm 2.8 for Weddings and Events?

Hi guys,

Bit of background, I normally shoot lifestyle portraits, and have been a lover of the 50mm 1.2 RF.  My first love has and always been the 35mm 1.4 II EF, but since I wanted to go native and didn't want to bother with adapter I went with what I think the superior lens which is the 50mm 1.2 RF.

Nowadays I am slowly transitioning to doing event work and weddings. Wanting to build my kit I have the EOS R and R6 for bodies, but now I am looking for a 2nd lens, I have rented the 28-70, but gah-damn that was a chunky boy and I'm still on the fence with this lens, I wanted to love it (versatility, matching primes in terms of sharpness) but my heart still melts for that 1.2 with its unique look and esp in low light.

Might be an unconventional pairing but I'm interested in the 100mm 2.8 Macro RF. Idk, its out of the norm, but the reach + macro ability looks like a good middle ground instead of springing straight up for the 70-200 (also it costs more)

What do you guys think? Any input or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!
