Hello..

I am fascinated about your blog and how useful it is for everyone

I am about to buy Eos M3 for landscape photography

I am not a pro like most of the people .

English is not my native language so pardon me

I have a simple question to ask.. QDFS script will take all focus and exposure bracket automatically ? or does it required to do manually ?Next thing is .. will it execute by pressing shutter button ? I am planning to do 50mm panoramas. so I have to stich many photos together to get wide panorama

@Sid89

I think you will be very pleased with the M3.

I have written two CHDK scripts that run on the M3.

The Landscape Bracketing Script (M3 version) is designed to automatically take complex bracket sets, eg exposure brackets plus perfect focus brackets from near to infinity. It will also automatically take an ETTR exposure for the sky if requested.

The Quasi Depth of Field Script was designed for those that like to do things in a more manual way. You can still do deep focus bracketing with exposure brackets, plus you get the on screen depth of field feedback.

When using QDFS, you use the M-Fn button as your shutter, which triggers your exposure brackets or a single exposure. The DoF scale feedback telling you where to focus next, and take another exposure bracket set.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Garry
