If you were upgrading from an earlier M50 or M6 today, would you get the M50 II or the M6 II ? I currently have an M6 (and EVF-DC1) and I'm trying to decide which to get.
Better AF is certainly high on the list of wants. Resolution I'm not too hung up on, 24MP is ok for me. Can focus point be selected using screen as touch-pad with the M6 II while using an optional EVF?
Yes. This was one of many upgrades over the M6. I love touch and drag for focus point selection.
I haven't found a way to do that on the M6.
You can’t do it on the M6. The only respect, in my opinion, in which the M5 was better than the M6.
Thanks Alastair. My other question is about how much faster AF is on the M6 II over the M6. I just bought an EF 70-300 IS II USM. The nano USM focus motor system is blazingly fast on my EOS R, but on the M6, it doesn't focus any quicker than the older EF-S 55-250 IS STM. What can I expect if I upgrade to the M6 II ??
