Today is the two year anniversary of Canon's announcement of the M50 Mark II, which was just a minor update of the 2018 version.

I don't expect it to happen, but it would be nice if Canon "shocked the world" by releasing a new M model.

Unfortunately Canon has stopped production of the eos m200.

The m50 mark II is also at risk.

I don't understand Canon's choices. I am very disappointed.

Canon doesn't really have a choice. The camera market is a small fraction of what it used to be. Canon could continue on with four different mounts and only a couple current bodies for each mount, or Canon can consolidate everything under a single mount with several bodies. If Canon can only manage two new bodies and four new lenses per year, option 1 means scattered and sporadic updates across multiple mounts while option 2 looks like a healthy system with continued growth.

Cameras are more popular than ever.

Small cameras with small lenses that will fit in your pocket are the most popular.

And they will keep becoming more powerful ?

I am assuming you are speaking for yourself because every bit of sales data available shows the exact opposite of what you wrote, or are you referring to smartphones?
