No direct comparison to show, but I’ve used both and definitely prefer the X100V lens overall. Neither lens is really state of the art, but I find the X100V 23mm to be sharper around the periphery at any aperture and very significantly better at close range in pretty much every way, especially wide open. Wide open at f/2, I definitely prefer the X100V lens all around. Note: the 23mm f/2 prime sports a noticeably wider field of view than any of the other 23mm offerings that I’ve run across.

The 23 f/2 prime can be a very good lens, it’s small, lightweight, well built etc., it (at least the copy I had) just falls a bit short of the X100V in most optical respects (IMO). It is, however, capable of pretty decent sunstars when stopped down a bit, the X100V, not so much - it’s kinda lackluster in that one department, even stopped all the way down. Not a dealbreaker for me, but worth noting. I liked both these lenses better than the three crummy 23mm f/1.4s I got in a row. I bought the X100V and have been very happy with it.
