Visited b&h today. Went to touch and feel various wide angle zooms there. 
I believe that at least for me, anything beyond 67mm filter thread feels too big and bulky on the a7c. 
It overrules the Sony 16-35 (which I also overrule since I appreciate f2.8 and use it in low light because I shoot without flash. 
I believe I’ll get the 20-40 if further decent reviews will come up. As said, for non pros I believe (convince myself?) that it might be quite enough to have 20mm. I hope so at least
