I've been looking at new fullframe cameras since I sold my X-T3, made up my mind what I wanted to buy and then I saw a secondhand X-H2 in new condition at a local store...
The camera felt perfect in my hand and I loved the button layout. My main reason for jumping to fullframe was the shallower depth of field that it can achieve. Mainly for portraits.
So I thought how the following kit be as a fullframe alternative:
- X-H2
- 23 1.4 WR
- 56 1.4 Sigma
- 90 2.0 WR
All these lenses are good wide open and are either a dedicated portrait lens (90mm) at f2.8 equivalent or f2.1 equivalents. All should give me ample depth of field.
It would give me a 35,85,135 spread in fullframe terms which I think is perfect for portrait work.
Is it worth getting this for around €4000 instead of a fullframe setup for the same money?
Its incredible!

The store also had the new 56 1.2 as a secondhand deal. It's also tempting to just get the 23 and the 56. It's probably not hard to live without the specialty 90mm. Low light / high ISO is still kind of a thing though..

The a7R V is the fifth iteration of Sony's high-end, high-res full-frame mirrorless camera. The new 60MP Mark IV, gains advanced AF, focus stacking and a new rear screen arrangement. We think it excels at stills.
