Generally the lower the ISO the better. I use the lower for light subjects and the higher for darker ones. Half a stop under can lift the effective ISO to 640, so if you have to crop.....

It is why I stick to f11 for all lenses as the light seems to work from x0.5 to x3. After x3 there is almost no working space and to get the light in.

The internal reflector is a very recent addition to reduce the hot spot.

It does reduce the overall light, so I will try the larger bowl as an alternative if working space permits

This is a well made arm. There are cheaper ones that are pretty useless.

The logical conclusion to using flat internal reflector, is to use a convex hemisphere. which I have now done, but will need to test
