Today is the two year anniversary of Canon's announcement of the M50 Mark II, which was just a minor update of the 2018 version.
I don't expect it to happen, but it would be nice if Canon "shocked the world" by releasing a new M model.
I really like mine !
I already had a M50 but I bought it to see how improved the focus features really were.
My M50II does track better than my M6II and has better eye focus.
That is some 8 MB of firmware improvement !
M50II will mount my 11-22mm. 32mm and 56mm lenses too. What a big plus !
Took it to the Plant City car show yesterday ! No regrets !
If you were upgrading from an earlier M50 or M6 today, would you get the M50 II or the M6 II ? I currently have an M6 (and EVF-DC1) and I'm trying to decide which to get.
Better AF is certainly high on the list of wants. Resolution I'm not too hung up on, 24MP is ok for me. Can focus point be selected using screen as touch-pad with the M6 II while using an optional EVF? I haven't found a way to do that on the M6.
It’d be a good question to ask RLight too (he has both too).
I’m biased because I love the M6ii’s form factor (no EVF, and tilting LCD), and since I use Spot AF exclusively with it, the AF performance has been brilliant. The number of controls is also to my liking. There are a whole host of other features and IMHO everything combines to produce an incredibly satisfying shooting experience.

There are a lot of M50 and M50II owners out there !
It would be nice if more joined in the fun here at the M forum.
Still remember the first time I picked up a M50.
It was at Best Buy. Bought one refurbished that was marked down at the Canon USA store of course.
It was $370 or so with a lens. I guess I could get almost that for it on ebay now ?
Got the M50II refurbished marked down too. Was going to check it out then flip it.
No hurry.
I like the M50II focus peaking and how easy it is to use with my manual focus 7artisans Photoelectric 35mm f/0.95 Lens too.
I like the M50II. Sigma 56mm is crazy sharp on that camera.
Still love my M6II.
Don't you miss IS in the Sigma 30 or 56 lenses?
