Thanks, can you remember whereabouts in the menu? My m6 doesn't say anything about it in the manual. I'm thinking of ugrading, and trying to decide between M6ii and M50ii.

On the M6 II - menu 7 - touch and drag AF settings - Enable.

Looks like you cant on the M6 mark 1 - you can on the M5 - and N6 II.

What are the differences between the Canon EOS M6 and M5? They are few enough that you can count them on one hand:

  • Optional EVF (EVF-DC1 / EVF-DC2) vs. Built-in
  • Limited touch AF point selection (rear LCD only prior to shutter release half-press or during video recording, not available when optional EVF is in use) vs. Fully featured Touch & Drag AF
