Handbrake - Bulk conversion
Guys
What Handbrake setting do you recommend using for home videos. Most videos were taken by Sony A6400 (XAVC S 4K 30P 100M) and Panasonic Lumix G6 (1080p 60p). I have a 12TB HDD that isn't full but I thought I'll just optimize since some experiments have shown very little if any loss of quality. Is there consensus that H.265 and CQ at 20? Can somebody review my other settings in the image below to see if I should change something or add any advanced settings syntax? I want to bias towards quality given the files are getting pretty small anyways with this software
Also should I experiement with VSDC and does it have a simpler interface for bulk conversion? Ideally once I'm comfortable doing a few files, I'd like to set a whole directory with many sub-directories and let it do its job over a few days (perhaps 2000 files) and overwrite them vs making a copy unless you think it's risky doing that
Another Dumb question - I am viewing all the encoding results on my only monitor which is an Acer 21' 1080p monitor. If I make all these comparisons on a 4k modern monitor, would the difference between the original and converted videos be much greater?
Thanks
