Edit: Perhaps you mean the images in my original post (the post you were replying to doesn't have any images)? If so, yes, it is you, or maybe your monitor. These are not at all over sharpened. Of course, sharpening can be a matter of taste, so perhaps you simply prefer them a bit softer.

I examined the third squirrel image on two different monitors and a tablet. They all show an obvious bright outline around the whiskers and crunchy fur. To my taste this image is over-sharpened.

I don't see that on my iMac 5K monitor at all. Not even a hint of an outline. Either a difference in monitor rendition, or just a difference in taste. I sharpened the image to my taste, but obviously not yours. You can't please everyone. But thanks for the feedback anyway.

I have dual 27 inch 4K monitors and I have zoomed in and I don't see any outline on my setup. Personally I like sharp images, just a matter of taste.
