Hi all ! My first post here and very excited to dive in this forum!

Welcome to the forum

I was just curious on your opinions/critiques on these three photos. And if you had to pick only one mainly for a print, which one and why?

Please, let me know. Thank you!

In all of the shots, I would recommend getting closer to the falls. That probably means taking your shoes off and getting wet, but I think getting closer would give more of an intimate feeling with the falls. That would also allow you to exclude the sky and get closer to the foreground interest.

A. As someone else mentioned, the part of the sky in the upper right corner is distracting, especially because your eye is drawn to the brightest part of the scene. The rocks in the foreground add some interest, but I would crop some off the bottom. I'd probably pick this one as well.

B. I like the rock on the left for foreground interest because of the splash of green providing some nice contrast with the rest of the scene. However, there is too much "dead" space in the foreground and I would crop some out.

C. I personally don't like the horizontal log in front of the falls. I don't think it leads the eye into the scene - it divides the scene. Foreground is too cluttered for my taste.

also have a cropped in version of C. here
