X-H2 for portraits

I recently sold my X-T3 thinking I was going to buy a fullframe camera when the X-H2 was announced. And now I'm kind of doubting whether I truly need that extreme shallow DoF for portraits, if what I can get with Fuji isn't just as good.

How would you think the following setup would be for different type of portraits:

  • X-H2
  • 23mm f2
  • 56mm APD f1.2
  • 90mm f2

In fullframe terms that would be a 35,85 and 135 which is plenty of coverage.

Is the 16-55 good enough for general portraits? The F4 equivalent focal length doesn't really provide real subject separation but probably would work great in the studio.

How would you configure a portrait setup for Fuji? The new 56 1.2 is great but I'm trying to avoid it now since the old version can be bought for half the price. Or will the difference be so big that it's better to go with a new 56 and forgo the 90 f2?

Would the 50-140 be a good option for portraits,  I don't mind the weight of the lens.
