LOL, you do get used to handling the larger lenses differently. My RF 28-70 feels like a bowling ball when I'm handling it! However you just need to support it properly is all. Once mounted on the camera (the R5, R6, and R7 have wonderful grips BTW), the weight isn't a bother. And once you start looking at the pictures, the weight virtually disappears!!

My quest may be different than yours. For ages, I am trying to slim and trim down my photo gear while retaining decent quality for my usage.

Same here.

I have no intention of selling images, nor burning money for gear which plays in "pro-league". The M-system has/had this potential for me, just lacking longer telezooms beyond 200mm.

Same here, but I went with m43 several years because I wanted the option of weather-sealed kit and IBIS in my system of choice.

IMHO, photography is a bit like high fidelity, there is a lot of esotheric talk about must-have quality, but at the end of the day, John & Jane Doe don't really need it, not have they the time to really enjoy it to full degree and use MP3 files via bluetooth buds because they can be easily taken everywhere and at any time!

I like this analogy.
