I keep a 1.4x T/C on one for my R5 and the 2nd on my R7 w/o T/C. I do consider this somewhat of an "embarrassment of riches".

Not really, it makes sense to me. I just switched from Nikon to Canon and had three Nikon bodies and got very used to not having to switch lenses. I now have the R5 and R7 and miss that 3rd body. I like to keep my 100-500 on the R5 and the 100-400 on the R7 and would like a 3rd body for either the 24-105 or 18-150. Again, and "embarrassment of riches". I don't think it would make sense to pick up an R6 or another R7. I must say however, the R7 and the kit 18-150 lens take some very impressive shots.

I also am impressed by the RF 100-400 and the RF-S 18-150.  Both exceeded by IQ expectations while being light and compact to boot!.  I use on the R7 but I do have the R5 with the 100-500 for appropriate cases where all day carrying is not involved.  Not all scenarios find the RF5 and 100-500 to the most desired choice.
