Adapting EF lenses is certainly a viable option that many pursue successfully.  Functionally, adapted lenses work great.  The downside is the overall size and weight of adapting legacy DSLR lenses, and you had indicated in a prior post that size and weight was a concern for you.

Case in point....

The adapted EF 70-300mm lens on the M6 II is 20% heavier (approximately 200g) than the next closest mirrorless alternative.  Not only is the adapted lens itself bigger and heavier, but you also need to include 100g to 150g for the weight of the adapter.
