I used Rufus to create a USB stick, with checks bypassed, and it installed fine on an old laptop. Don't think I tried activation yet, but it works fine anyway. The laptop has a Windows 7 license I can use for activation later.

It says "Activated with a digital license", so it looks like it is activated. I guess I activated it.

Just for fun, I went to "Change Product Key", and put in the Windows 7 key that came with the laptop, and it re-activated fine.

FYI: It's an old i7-2620M CPU.
