I've had two, thinking my first one was less-than-stellar, but no, that's just how it is. Below 135mm, yeah it's basically perfect. Above that though, it's OKAY.
There's always room for improvement. The lens isn't perfect...I make that clear in a segment of my review. And yes, it is weakest at 200mm. I don't know of a zoom lens that isn't weakest at its longest (and in some instances widest) focal length. But among current 70-200 lenses this lens is among the best. At 200, its more than just ok.
