I think it is worthwhile posting a "before - after" of a difficult lighting situation.

Taken long ago with a K-5 inside cathedral at Monreale, Sicily.

ISO 6400, f3.5 1/100.19mm on Sigma 17-70 .

Artificial light on the altar; natural daylight coming through windows.

There is no setting in world that can handle this.

If you look at image on left there is marked blue cast to walls and (to a lesser extent) ceiling.

But my eyes compensated for this and I did not see such a cast.

What I saw was like the image on the right.

To get what I saw I used two graduate filters in Lightroom, with a large shift in temperature towards yellow and a slight shift on tint towards magenta. Minor tweaks to exposure, shadows and a lot of highlight recovery. One from left, other from right.

Lots of other ways of achieving the same result with current Lightroom.
